Rebecca and Daniel's wedding stood out to me because of how intentionally they planned their day at St. Louis Catholic Church and SKYLIGHT, which honored their heritages and celebrated with their families.

Before their nuptial mass, they had their guests pin a sprig of rosemary to themselves as a Balkan tradition that symbolizes love, loyalty, and remembrance. Daniel prayed with his groomsmen, while Rebecca prayed with her bridesmaids before they both walked down the aisle.

Rebecca's mother passed away when she was younger; one moment that really touched me was when Rebecca looked where her mom would be standing as she and her father walked down the aisle. She made room to miss her mom, but also to celebrate and be joyous about marrying Daniel!

For bridal party photos, we went to a gorgeous park and then to Stella's off of Pearl St., where they had their first date! They also got coffee for an energy boost before their reception.

At their reception, Rebecca and Daniel included more personal touches like having focaccia bread with jalapenos: the bread is Balkan, while the jalapenos are Mexican, honoring and joining together their heritages! Further, their wedding favors were their favorite childhood candies: peanut Mazapan from Mexico and Bajadera nougat from Croatia. They also made sure to go around to each table and say hello to everyone after they finished eating their dinner, because family and friends mean so much to them.

Daniel and Rebecca's wedding day was so touching and authentically them from beginning to end, and I will remember it forever!!
