Jamie and Maria got married at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Denver, Colorado. Their wedding was particularly beautiful because of how present they both were in every moment.
Maria and her close ones were getting ready in the bridal suite when Father came in to pray over her before the nuptial mass. Her bridesmaids, sisters, and mother then interceded for her. I could tell that Maria is so well and deeply loved by those around her!
The nuptial mass was gorgeous: the incense, lighting, reverence, and Jamie and Maria's palpable love for each other truly stood out to me. Our Lady of Lourdes is a popular place to get married, and I can see why!
One part of the nuptial mass I always look forward to at Lourdes is the Consecration to Mary. Our Holy Mother is glorified so well here through intentional design.
Jamie and Maria decided to do their bridal party photos in the Grotto, and also do something I had never seen before: a private first dance with their bridal party present in front of Our Blessed Mother. Their private first dance at the Grotto with one of the groomsmen playing the guitar made for such a breathtaking moment.
It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to capture Jamie and Maria's love, because it is uniquely theirs. What a gift it was to be their wedding photographer!!
